I need to replace the gas tank and sending unit on my 86 bronco. I saw the bronco grave yards web site. They seem to be about the cheapest around here for a new tank and sending unit.
My question is has anyone here bought a tank and sending unit form them?
If so I would like to here your story.
Thanks John
Also one more thing. How many of you out there have trouble pumping gas into your bronco. Mine is always tripping the pump off. I thing right now it leaks the gas out faster then I can put it in.
What have you done to get the gas toflow easier into oyu tank. I am also going to replace the vent valve on the new tank when i get it.
I never bought a tank or sending unit from JBG but I replaced mine with an AZ tank and Ford sending unit. All together, total cost was less than $300. I didn't replace the vent because mine seemed OK but I have heard that they do get gunked up. FYI: My local Ford said that there was only one tank but all the other places said there are 2. One with a 2" opening and one with a 3 5/8" opening. I bought the sending unit, which was a 2" opening and then ordered the 2" opening tank from the Zone.
I recently got the 33 gal. polyethylene tank from JBG.Didn't need a sending unit(was replaced 2 years ago).Tank and upper strap
+ shipping,I think it was about $160.Great deal.
