speedo needle

I'm about to order my diablo chip and I was wondering, if it raises my speed limiter, what about the little stop that's just after the 100 mph mark? Won't it break the speedometer cable or do the new trucks not work like that?

You don't have to worry about the speedo cable because there isn't one, however with the electronic gages you could mess-up the linearity by straining the internals in the gage.

I would just not run it that hard. Yeah right. The jeep cherokee I used to have was like that, I have seen other vehicles like that too that have not had problems. They keep accelerating, you just don't know how much. The worst one was a friends T-Bird that had the digital speedometer that stopped at 85. You had no idea how fast you were going and the fastest you could set the cruise was 85, actually the jeep was like that too for the cruise.
