need some help

It is hard to start when warmed up, makes poping sound like it is missing or backfiring a little, mainly at idle. I have lost a little coolant. Steady stream of light gray smoke while running.

I have been advised it could be the ignition module, and or the FPR. What are the symptoms of having your distributer 180* off?
I need to have this running relatively quick and I can't buy anything untill Friday (payday)... Should I have my coil tested? I just don't know what to do first... And can I time it accurately with the O2 sensor out (nut broke off and I need to get it welded) and exhaust leaking out the Y pipe? Should I pull the injectors and have them checked? Any thoughts at all would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

An engine simply will not run if the timing is 180° off.

I wouldn't try to "fix" anything until the O2 is fixed other than making sure the smoke isn't from a cracked head, check the oil for coolant.

No coolant in oil, new y pipe will be here tomarrow or Sat., noone would weld on this old pipe... I fixed the hard to turn over part. I can't believe it but just to make sure I looked at the starter cables and there was a section where the rats ate the insulation off... By the way it acted I never would have thought it was a calbe but she turns and turns now... I am embarassed! I put in a 180* stat tonight. It still makes the poping sound while iding. Checked my timing and it is still good. Could the smoke be from the new tail pipe and muffler? Just had that thought tonight. I haven't driven much at all since I put those on there. I will still get a pressure test done as soon as I get the exhaust fixed and I can drive it without getting a ticket. Thanks for everything guys!
