2000 SD springs

I just tried to put on my overload springs on and ,well they just don't work. shop said only 1 kit available for 250's. I don't have enough clearence from the top of the factory spring to the frame brackets that are supposed to catch the spring. the overloads installed are about 3" above the brackets. went to Ford nobody knows exactly why a FEW super-duty's sit as low as mine but there is definately a difference. they had 3 other trucks on the lot with the same stance as mine, all were 2wd LB SC with either a v-10 or powerstroke......like mine. any ideas why I have a Factory 250 low-rider. with 750 lbs it squats enough to make the hitch scrape with the slightest bump, I could have bought a lightning to do that and then drive really fast when I'm empty

Sounds like you better get new primary springs. Also it would be possible to add the overloads without doing so. Just disconnect one end (preferably the shackle end) of the spring pack from the truck and lower it until you can get the overloads on and then sit the weight of the truck on it until it compresses far enough that you can reattach the spring pack.
