I stopped short today and I heard somthing loose under my feet. I tried stopping short again and sure enough there it was again. It sounds like somthing under the floor is loose and sliding back and forth. It also did it under hard acceleration. Has anyone else experenced this? Thanks for any input.
By the way, this is the first problem I have experenced in 1900 miles. I think this is an amazing vehicle, and i hope this isn't the first problem with more to come. (I am knocking on wood as I write this)
Have you checked underneath for a possible loose heat shield around the cat? Or possibly some road debri caught in the frame? Let us know what you find.
Well, turns out that the noise I heard was the alarm control module loose under the shifter area. It was installed by a car audio shop, but the dealer took care of it at no charge. So, it was not a problem with the vehicle like I thought. Now I can say 1900 miles and not a single problem.
Now that is peace of mind finding it isn't anything mechanical or in the drivetrain. Almost at 4500 miles and only complaint I have is uncle Sam won't let me take my F-150 to Iraq when I deploy in late March . I'll have F-150 withdrawls for 120 days?!!?**!!??* Oh well at least I'll have 2 reasons to get back ( 1-wife 2nd-F-150)
