Hallejuah Brother!!!!

Well,, for me I got a bad drone, and rear main leak (2 seals) a new starter and a couple of new rad. clamps.. 1800 miles.. After the second seal replacement looks like they got her corked up.. Time will tell..I really love this truck too, but these issues have brought me down at times.. And especially when they (Ford) say its normal, OR they don't have a fix yet.. Well then,,how long?? Patience isn't a strong point of mine, but I wrench for a living and I do understand.. I bought a new Motorcycle just before the truck, and EVERY time I swing a leg over it and go for a ride (no it doesn't leak or vibrate) I smile and ALWAYS say,,,This was the best money I ever spent!!! I'm trying with the truck, and it does run and drive awesomely though..But for me I,ve had too many issues in a short time, and kinda wish Ford would get busy with the fixes, or get a new one coming..I can't and don't want to buy any other brand, and have been impressed with the SD so far other than the minor troubles..

Installed the Predator tonight!! OH YEAH!!! Maybe now that performance "grin" and some extra MPG will help with the remaining problem (drone) till Ford can get it squared away..

Hope mine doesn't develop the "Bark" or it will be replaced.. A freind of mines truck has it bad, and I couldn't/wouldn't live with it..

Hope you get yours worked out...........

Still workin' on it folks, Ford don't want to replace my truck because, "It is a normal sound". But as I said in my first post, WHY, AFTER 20,000 mi.!!! I've always been a faithful Ford owner. But this is sure shaken my faith!

Mine did not do it until I installed my K&N Filter Kit. Not it does it all the time. Went to K&N Factory in Riverside, CA and let the Dino guy look at it. He said it was a normal thing and should not do any damage to the motor or turbo. I know one thing, it does get irritating sometimes.

Mine does it to. I have blown off the end of my inter cooler, have had 2 egrs replaced all the updates [3], a rear seal, and just had the pipeand hose coming off turbo relpaced[blew hose apart],and I can only pull hills at 55 maxed out pulling 5th wheel[6000lb] and the best mpg Ive got is 11.3 [taken manualy]. Not bad, Ive got 9300 miles on the truck. I cant remember the last time Ive been so happy.

Hello everyone, I'm new here and this topic is exactly why I came. My 04 6.0 4x4 started a funny noise yesterday after installing an Edge Juice with Attitude and a turbo back exhaust. I was thinking, great I already blew it up in 3 miles from install. It still runs great, except the tranny hasn't figured out what to do on level 5.

the tranny may never learn the edge defuel on the 2 to 3 shift - but the Predator has that figured out for sue...

My take on the flutter noise is that the turbo has built up so much boost that when you back off... the pressure has to go SOMEWHERE and is backing up the intake ?!?

just my $.00000002 !

dumb question...why doesnt ford just wastegate the turbo? it sounds to me like doing so would solve this problem, and maybe even some others that are floating around out there. I wonder if anyone will develop a kit to do so in the near future?

Sounds like Ford should have tested the International built 6.0 Diesel engine a little while longer before putting it in their pickups!

Tech, you hit the nail on the head with that statement. NUMEROUS ford reps that have come in the store here have said that was in large part the entire problem with the motor; the fact that ford execs were too triggerhappy about slapping it in the truck before testing it thoroughly. Not much anyone can do about it now, besides ford, just pray everything works out. I think it will though, they have made lots of bonehead decisions in the past, and usually get them worked out...time will tell
