HELP! Headlight Clips??

I am trying replace my headlamps from the sealed to the jewel effect as I am writing this! I can't figure out how to remove the darn headlamps, starting with those clips!!!

Please Help! Thanks.

The clips pull straight up, with a good amount of force, I had to use a screwdriver to pry under the tab to get them going.

The metal clips have locking tabs on both sides. They make a tool that slides into the top slot on the clip. When you rotate the tool it spreads the tabs and locks the two together. Then you just pull straight up. Without the tool, if you spread the tabs with a thin screw driver or a cotter pin puller, and pull up with a pair of pliers, you can usually get the clips off.

Thanks guys, I'll try again tomorrow. Knowing which way to pull and the tab info. should help me get it done. Hopefully, putting them back on is easier!

Well I finally got those clips off and the lights are in! Had to take both batteries out to get the bottom portion off. Simple job except for those clips, lousy design.
