How much gap?

Thanks for all the opinions on spark plugs that helps alot. I got a set a autolites and they are gapped at .044. Is this ok or should I take it down some.

Sorry, didn't see your thread on spark plugs. What ignition system do you have? .044" is perfect for the stock Duraspark.

i have Accel distributor, Super coil and 8.8 wires.

Is the Accel points or electronic?
I run a Mallory Unilite/HyFire setup, plugs are at .045.

Actually, if anything you would want to increase the gap. However with your setup...the stock .044 would still be ideal.
