Master cylinder ?

Hey guys,
I have to replace the whole brake system in my 77 f-150, one of the things that needs replacing is the master cylinder and booster. I was told that I could use a booster from most any model is this true. I have a 1982 parts truck out back, and was wondering if i could use the parts from that. I was told that as long as it has the hook up for the vacuum line then i should be ok.
any help would be great.
Thank you Swampy

I would check with your local auto parts store to see if they use the same part number. I am pretty sure that they are different.

Take a look at this tech article here on FTE.
https://www.ford-trucks.com/articles...akeupgrade.php

It's written using a Bronco as an example but will work for F-150s of the same era (your 77' is pretty much the same).
