Grrr... I done a search and found nothing- although i remember this being discussed before. I know i will need a flywheel cause this one is out of an auto, and I am quite sure that my old one won't work, and my exhaust will bolt up because it is loose enough to raise it the 1.5" it will have to go up, and the motor mounts are the same. My accessories will bolt up with a longer belt (well, all i have is an alt), but i know that it cant be that simple. Are there any other flywheels that would bolt to it? I think a 289 will, but I am not sure.
I think i about got it now. But I want to use my old 302 heads for a small bump in compression and because the motor sat for a while with no intake and i can see a bit of rust on the valves, but then again, I may just break the heads down and break out the steel wool.
Dual exhaust will bolt up just fine if you use the 302 exhaust manifolds. True 351W manifolds have different exit locations. If you want to run single exhaust until you can afford duals, just cut the crossover pipe in the middle and weld or clamp in a short extension pipe. The power steering pump bracket for a 351W is longer, if you can't find the proper one, get another 302 bracket (easy to find) and cut, splice and weld the two to make a longer bracket. 302 small chamber heads will bolt on if you drill the head bolt holes to the larger 351w bolt size. There is no difference between the engine mount stands and insulators.
