The brake Pump pushes back on your foot when coming to a stop unless the ABS light is on......... Which inturn is very bad if you need to stop fast...... Anbody know if there is a history of the pump going bad or if it is the sensors?????
It sounds like you are getting false activation. You might have a wheel speed sensor problem.Check your wheel sensors & tone ring on the front halfshafts if it is 4 wheel abs.If just rear wheel abs check sensor and connector on rear axle.I work at a ford dealer and had some that had a lot of metal in rear diff that caused the sensor not to pick up a signal. In that case replace sensor and drain and refill diff with new gearlube. Could be other problems but that is where i would start.
It started after I got the Brakes done. I will get the rear end checked. I know that when the light is on it deactivates the ABS. But why would the Brakes kick your foot back not allowing you to stop? Then when you are below 10Mph it stops pushing the back on your foot. This is a safty issue I would think. Sometimes the light does not come on at all. Which makes for an interesting day.
If it does have 4 wheel abs ,and you just said it started after you had brakes done, and if they are front brakes did they replace front rotors.I seen aftermarket rotors cause problems because of the tone ring improperly pressed on.This is if you have 4 wheel abs and had new rotors put on. Just something i seen in the past
Possible if they were not careful. I only seen it with aftermarker rotors. But it is definetly possible. I would check what kind of codes you have to see where i would start. That is the most easiest way to go about it.You still did not say if you have 4 wheel abs or just rear wheel abs.
