locking hub converstion
I'll be changing my locking hubs on my truck from, auto to manual lock. I'v read that i need a spindle nut converstion kit, i have seen pictures of the kit and the only thing that looks different are the lock washers.
On the auto locking hubs there are 4 tangs (on the lock washer) that stick out and are lined up with the locker as you slide it in the hub. could i not just grind down the tangs on the lock washers and use them. or is there somthing else in that kit?

i'm not sure if it was 3 or 5 screw.
i got the axle from the wreckers, cause i'm doing a 4x4 converstion. when i picked it up the hubs were gone.
so i never got to see how many screws where in it.
is there some other way i can find out?
