Your truck looks awesome and very menacing with the all black look. NICE.....VERY NICE!!!!
I'm curious....
1) Why did you remove the stock 265/60-18 BFG Radial Long Trail TA's and put on the the 285/60-18 Nittos?
2) How much did you pay for the Nittos?
3) How did the Nittos change your ride and/or handling?
4) Are the Nittos noisy?
5) How are the Nittos on dry and wet roads? Snow?
6) What kind of speedometer reading correction did you have to make as the 285/60 Nitto is a wider and BIGGER IN DIAMETER tire than stock BFG 265/60 tires that came on the truck?
Thanks in advance for your quick response....
Fred

NICE truck.....VERY NICE!!!!
1) Where did you get your billet aluminum antennae?
2) What did you pay for it?
3) How long/high is it?
4) Is it very flexible?
5) Did it screw into the stock antennae base with no adapters, etc.
6) Did it have any negative or positive effect on your reception?
By any chance, ave you seen the polished billet aluminum fuel doors for the 2004 F-150? They are available at www.performanceproducts.com for $41.95! It would look awesome on your black truck! I just ordered one for my truck...
Thanks,
Fred

"...very menacing with the all black look." -- that's the idea/look I was going for! I'm probably going to switch out the front grille for a black one as well. And may someday add a Manik brush guard.
1) Why did you remove the stock 265/60-18 BFG Radial Long Trail TA's and put on the the 285/60-18 Nittos? -- I wanted to be able to pull up next to another stock Lariat and be just a bit higher ... a little taller. So, I added the Daystar leveling kit and the Nitto's. They look better IMO. Nothing against stock tires, but I REALLY like my new ones.
2) How much did you pay for the Nittos? -- I had my local Discount Tire store order them. I paid $771 before taxes and the 'free replacement' warranty. I was able to get the store manager to give me $60 per stock tire ($240 total). They had 25 miles on them when I swapped out the tires.
3) How did the Nittos change your ride and/or handling? -- no change in how it felt. I could tell I was taller, but the ride is just the same. At first, they put in about 30 lbs of pressure in the tires. I went back and had them check the pressure, and they said I should probably go with 35. I did. The ride is a little rougher (obviously), but it feels like a truck.

4) Are the Nittos noisy? -- Not at all. Remember, you're already in the quietest (interior) truck ever built. These tires do not have a big mud tread or anything ... nothing that'll put you to sleep at 60 mph.
5) How are the Nittos on dry and wet roads? Snow? -- Excellent so far. I now have 475 miles on them. No problems at all on any road conditions. Snow? Well, the snow we had here (first in about 15 years) didn't stick to the streets, so I didn't get to test it out.
6) What kind of speedometer reading correction did you have to make as the 285/60 Nitto is a wider and BIGGER IN DIAMETER tire than stock BFG 265/60 tires that came on the truck? -- None. I asked about recalibrating the speedometer. Discount Tire ran some computations and said I'd basically be driving 67mph when the speedometer read 65mph. I asked my dealership about having it corrected, and they suggested I just leave it as is. If anything, my odometer will be a little less than normal. They said the recalibration would cost (?) $75 or so, and that the difference in tire size just didn't really warrant it. So, I did nothing about it.
By the way, I REALLY wanted BlkButy's tires and wheels. He (& his ride) are one of the reasons I went with Nittos over Toyo, BFGs, etc. I just couldn't afford getting new rims. So, I opted for the Nitto's that would fit on the stock wheels. I have ZERO regrets about my tire change (pun intended).

To compare, has anybody seen a picture of the Blk/Tan two-tone lariat with aftermarket wheels and (larger) tires??
I'm very curious as to what that would look like, but can't find a picture anywhere....
Thanks!
I ordered it with the LT version of the 18" tire, but due to a lack of those tires, which is causing delays my dealer switched the order to the P version to speed up my order.
And there is nothing better then sitting in Hooter's eating Chicken Wings and being parked at the front entrance spot and watching EVERY single person stop and look at the wheels/tires. I swear FORD finally came up with a EXCELLENT truck.
Now on a different note - all I can say about the 2004 F250 Black Harley truck ---> OH MY GOD I SHOULD HAVE WAITED! My friend bought one and that thing totally ROX!
anyways, the tire dealer whom i ordered the eagle 178 and nitto 325's from said that there might be a problem with the offset (however i forgot to tell him i put the daystar leveling kit on). he said that in the "178" series there are two verisions : 1786 and 1789. i was just wondering if the ones i ordered (1786) are the same ones you have on. any information you can give me will be appreciated.
i'll provide the link to the website to show you what i m talking about. (http://www.aewheel.com/wheels_detail.cfm?id=39)...on this page there are part # 1786-9994 (what i have ordered) and 1789-994. both rims look the same i was just wondering if you knew which one.
p.s. i saw your earlier post about airraid vs. volant...i read a few people on here had problems with their wrench light coming on and having to go to dealership to reset once they installed the airrad. just a tip.
anyways thanks for your help.
