I have a question and would really appreciate your help. I went to order my truck at a dealership, he showed me DORAs from other orders that he placed. The reason he did, is that I asked about the priority code, which were all 10. However, the price levels were different for each some had 435, the others I cannot remember. What does the price code mean? Does it affect me if I order?
Dont take me to the bank on this but I am pretty sure the price codes represent the current price level that the car will be built at, meaning that if Ford decides to change (not necessarily increase) the cost of some of its options then that price level will be incremented by one to denote that change. I ordered a 2004 XLT SCrew on Jan 31st and it was at price level 435, since my order was a "Sold Retail" order I am guarenteed that price level when my truck is delivered, no matter if Ford's rates changed. If you had the chance to look again at those DORAs I would assume the the higher the price level number was the more recently the order was placed
Yeah I am having the same problem ..... I have received my "regular DORA" (with no prices on it .... just options and the price level) but the dealer seems very hesitant to show me the "priced DORA" (same information that is on the DORA but also has prices) ..... I could see why he wouldnt want to show it to me if we were negotiating a price but I bought my truck through X-Plan and as I said, since the order was placed as "Sold Retail" I am guarenteed the price level I ordered at (at least that is what I have read on these posts) ..... but dealers will be dealers and unless you really hassle them for the information they usually dont come through with it on there own (at least this is my expierence ..... I dont and shouldnt speak for everyone) ........
