carburetor adaptor plate

I put an edelbrock 4 bbl. intake on my 1979 F-150 351M, I am using the stock 2bb. carb. My problem is that the adapter plate I bought doesn't cover the back part of the carb and there is a HUGH vaccum leak. I would like to know if anyone knows of a company that has a plate that will fit a 2150 Motorcraft carburetor. Thanks in advance.

Would it not be a lot less trouble to put a 4bbl carb on?

I can see trouble brewing. The 4bbl intake needs a 4bbl carb. There are adapters each way, but like Mike said, why not get a 4bbl?

summit racing offers a spacer for your deal. it works well and allows you to slide the carb fore and aft. its used mostly for late model stock style racing were a spec. 4bbl intake is mandated. the only carb allowed is a holley 350 cfm/500 cfm 2 bbl carb.
