86 f 350 electrical short?

I have f 350 that was coverted from diesel to gas, my problem is when truck warms up it loses powerand stalls. Everything on the truck has been replaced.I do know there is short somewhere because the battery goes dead overnite. A friend told me fords are noted for wiring problems,I ve thought about changing the wiring harness, I have one from a 81 ford f150 .Any info on ford wiring problems would be greatly appreciated.

I wouldn't change out the entire harness. You can find what's draining your battery by hooking a voltmeter between the battery terminal and cable. Set it to "amps" and see what you're drawing. Start unplugging things until you figure out what's drawing current and draining your battery. When it goes down to almost 0, you've found your problem.

Battery could have a dead cell. Is the alternator charging? Are you jumping it off? If so, how long does it run after you jump it off before it dies?
