#2 Plug Blown!!!

#2 Blown!!!!
Driving back home to base today after visiting dear Mom on 66th.
All of a sudden Studder, Pop!!! Crack and total loss of power,
of course in traffic!
Coasted into service center...How fortunate.
Thus number 2 trashed!!!
No threads left,
Options?
Helicoil or New Head,
I have invested, many will say poorly in Ford.
1998 EB 3.73 with 83K Kenne Bell Super and NO Problems,
Dealership has documented evidence on 4 failures on #2 and #4 plugs. I reviewed!!!
Advice welcome....
Jon

I've used helicoils lots of times (not just in engines) and never had a problem with them. If that works then you don't have to mess with the dealer.

Good luck!

Usually happens after someone does a tune up and does not install plugs properly.
