Question rear end problem

I have a 95 Bronco that is wearing the outside tires on both sides. One of my friends pointed this out to me before the tires were worn, I noticed that the top of both wheels are angled out slightly. this is causing servere wear on the outside if both tires. does anybody have any answers to this problem, before I buy new tires and destroy them too????????????????

reeelred,

first of all you posted in the wrong forum.

a post like this would belong in the "big bronco" forum which the moderator will probably move it to eventually for you

second of all honestly i'm not sure what it could be myself...ive never heard of rear tires wearing like this.

good luck with it ...

Hey pancake I thought this was the big Bronco board?

Hey reelred
You didn't mention if it was the front or rear tires or all four. If it's the front tires only that are wearing like you mentioned, then you will need to go get a front end alignment and new tires at the same time. If it's the rear only then I'm not sure. But a good alignment shop might be able to help you out. Good Luck

Oops I miss read your title. But something doesn't sound right. I'm not sure exactly. Still an alignment shop might help you out.

I have the same problem on the rear of a 97 Grand Marquis Except the tires ware on the inside. The rear had been replaced by a Junk yard rear unfortunately the dooner car had been thru a crusher before the rear was removed. the rear was bent.

yea that could be the problem. The housing could be bent. Check this site out

Check your tow in, You can do this in your flat drive way with a tape measure they should tow in 1/8" or less.

The only problem with that is there is no adjustment for the rear end. like there for the front.

just to make me not look like an idiot even though i very well may be one,

this post was started in the ny chapter forum if im not mistaken and then probably after i posted it was moved by the moderator to here the appropriate forum.

and as far as the problem at hand..i am puzzled as towhat it would be (if in fact the outside of just the rear tires are wearing)

but at any rate good luck and the alignment shop does seem like a place that would know

Hey reelred,
If it's your front tires that's wearing out, you need to change your camber bushings because it sounds like you have too much positive camber. I know the title you posted is "rearend problem" but I can't see how the rear tires are pointing out from the top unless the rearend housing is bent.
