1990 2.9 $500 Help
1990, 2.9, auto, 2x4, body very good 110,000 miles. The dude is asking $500 but the truck has a blown head gasket, and who knows from there. He says the tranny brakes exhaust tires are very good. I'll make the repairs myself, so whats the truck worth? (cracked head? truck sitting all winter with coolant in the oil? Help thanks oneton

Check the oil to see if it looks like oil or milk. If it looks milky, good chance the bottom end is not in good shape. A compression check will tell you a lot of info also. If you know any aircraft mechanics, borrow a differential compression tester. That will not only tell you if the compression is low, but will tell you what the problem is. Keep us posted.
