I am wondering if anyone can help me on this matter,I have road tar on the back part of truck bed under taillights on both sides,I tried bug and tar remover, compound this area by hand still no luck tar wont come off. I was wondering if gas or diesel fuel would wonk and if it will harm my paint at all.If there is anything out there that you think will work please let me know.Thank you very much on this matter.
A clay bar will take all the tar out pretty easily. Heh...that spot will be soooo smooth too because clay takes out paint oxidation and dirt that a normal car washing won't take out.

yea. while your at it clay the whole truck. just break off a small piece, don't waste the whole thing in one shot. you'll be amazed at the difference.
nice explorer. the meguiars 3step does a nice job after waxing. my truck (pics in gallery) doesn't look as nice as yours but i bought it w/100k miles on it and it looked pretty bad. even if you dont polish i would at least throw a coat of wax on there. the clay takes a lot of the wax off so your paint is unprotected. i put 2 or 3 really thin coats on. the second and third i leave on for at least an hour. by the way, how many miles do you have on that thing. it looks like it was driven to church on sundays and kept in a garage the rest of the week. nice job.
