2002 Ranger XLT extended cab, 4.0L, 5-speed manual, 4X4.
Started truck this a.m. to travel to work. Airbag light flashes a code 46 multiple times, then comes on solid and remains on for duration.
Guidance and/or info appreciated.
(Ya know, for only having 12000 miles on it, this little truck ain't showin' alot of promise.... sigh....)
Thanks, Ken00.
The full set of Ford shop manuals was what I had for my "old" truck. They were quite thorough.
I'll be checking them out. I'm betting they're pricier than the third party manuals, but perhaps worth the difference.
Thanks again.

just a different point of view I would bring it to the dealer airbags are covered for 5 years why spend money if you dont have to.let ford pick up the tab.
And thanks to bigdogsleeping, also.
Yes, I will take it to dealer; I'm not qualified to "tamper" with airbags, etc. Entire truck is still under warranty, but I was not aware that airbags had extended coverage. Thanks for that info.
Let's see - so far the warranty repair list looks like: Excessive drive train slop (already been worked on twice for that, re-shim of rear end and new driveshaft), intermittant problem with interior dome light and glove box light, transmission leak, and now airbag problem. Vehicle only has 12000 really EASY miles on it.
