hmmm what motor? you should really stop by the off-road section sometime, we have lots-O-fun in there
you can order a new speedo gear from the dealer or you could just figure up how much it's off and then just keep in mind when you are going down the road!
i got 39.5's but I threw in 4.10 gears and so I am only 2 mph off now!
The truck has a 351 modfied in it. Iam not shur of the transmition or the gears I have in it. But when i mean way off I mean way off. I had the truck floored and the speedometer read 35mph And I KNOW I was going faster than that.

ive had problem with these ford speedometers ive had 3 diffrent ones and all read diffrently from others mostly they read to slow my tire size is stock but it may not be so much your 44inch tires as it is to a woren out or weak magnet in your speedo which actully dose the turning thus making the neddle spin because the magnet part of the speedo turns on the inside of a round metal cup that your needle is hooked to i finally made a good accurate one out of 3 of them using the best parts off of each one that may be your problem
