now that ive found my coolant leak in the upper corner of my radiator, and the shop i bought it from will not cover fixing it even though its only about year old, does anybody know of an after market one that is not made in a foriegn country, that will bolt in to the factory mounts and not leak after a year?im going to cap off the heater core and try bars leak, had good luck with that stuff.any other ideas guys?
Can you give any more clues on who made the one you have now?
If something fails more than once or twice in a row, I go to Ford for the replacement...their radiators also seem to be built quite a bit heavier than aftermarket.
im not sure of the manufactuar for sure right know, have dig out the reciept.i do know it said made in poland all over the box.bought it from a good rad repair shop because it was cheaper and faster than waiting for the original to be recored.
well i dont know how much cheaper it was than a ford rad.but to recore the original it was about $300.00,the new rad was $250.00 and they had it on the shelf.would of had to wait about a week for the recore job.yes it is out of warr.just my luck!
Sounds about right price wise, but not for the product you got. I think mine was 225 for a USA radiator. Recore was less but tomorrow instead of today, I wanted mine yesterday.
