I have a 85 ford 150 4x4 with a regular wiper switch. I am waiting for a delay wiper swith to arrive that I bought on ebay. The delay wiper switch has a conector on the wire's end. My regular wiper switch does not. It is wired direct without a conector. My question is are the wires the same and can I just cut the conector off and splice the delay wiper swich wires into the regular switch wires.
The connector should be connected to the back of the wiper switch.
It's a big black connector.

The black connector is down by the delay box on the wires. The switch, delay box and connector are one unit. The black connector is about 12" away from the switch. I traced my wires all the way and no connector. There are several on ebay under (delay wiper) and they are all the same.
My brain must be mush. I understand what you were telling me. The black conector is in the back of the regular switch. The plug pulled right out. I wish I knew that before I unwraped all that wire looking for the plug. You have my thanks, you know your stuff!
