Broken leaf springs
This past summer I purchased a 99' F350 4x4 PSD CC 6sp LB while on a vaction trip to the northwest. I only have 46k miles on it. While driving down a dirt driveway I heard a metalic sound on the ground. I got out to find 2 pieces of broken leaf springs off the right rear, they were the 3rd and 4th from the bottom. The local deal in Alabama has not been much help. Any one else had this problem.
I did hear the the F150's had a recall on leaf springs around 97'.

Broken leaf springs
I seem to recall one or two other reports of people with broken springs. Unfortunately, the age of your truck is probably going to leave you buying a replacement spring-pack. If so, be sure to shop around. A local spring shop can probably give you a better product at a lower cost than the dealership.
