Hey guys, on the heater *****, there's 1 on/off for the blower, and 3 other *****, what are the other 3 for? I know one is to control the flow to heater core, 1 is to open/close defrost and 1 is to open/close the vent on the actual heater box. Is this right?
Now for my chrome question. The bracket is made out of chrome. I am putting in an electric fan, so I need a switch. I was going to pull out the heater core on/off **** and keep it open all the time and put the switch in there, now is it okay to have full flow all the time? Also, I need to round the hole out on the bracket, so can I take a dremel and do that or will it take chunks of chrome off? Also, can I drill a hole in it, about the size of an LED.
On the open/close portion of your question I can tell you that my buddy leaves the heater water flow on all year long. He just doesn't run the fan. You cannot feel any heat by your feet. I have also seen some people who use the on/off valve mounted inline in their heater hose. So that could be plan two if you did feel some heat from having the heater unit flowing all the time. Good luck, John
