what would happen

say if i was going to flip a np 205 upside down so the out put shaft would work for my truck what all would happen if any thing. ps its a divorced case. had to find divorced ford cases aroud here

well, i am pretty sure there is an oil pump in there, and that would be running dry, plus your fluid level would be off.

yea i dont think it will work. man i wish i could find more stuff in the yard but they are starting to cruch the old stuff to make room for new. but i cant find any high boys

I thought the 205 was splash lubed = no pump. At any rate, if it was flipped upside down, the case would probably be sticking up through the floor and the front driveshaft would have to be lengthened, and subject to more of an angle.

Im guessing you're wanting to use a Chevy case in your Ford? You could use the Chevy case right side up with a Chevy front axle...

its not that im set on this chevy case its just free. its gettin real hard to find ford 205 divorced cases. and yes it is splashed lubed
