This is a new one. I was using the window washer and it was squirting fluid fine when the next thing i see is bubble emerging from the bottom on the windsheld in the cab...like someone was underthere with a bubble pipe...so i assume the washer fluid hose is leaking but it looks inbetween the firewall where the fluid is going? Is that area accessable under the wipers there?
Don Ho Edition huh, well if poi comes out the the air conditioner then I will be blessed, yes bubbles are in the cab, just at the windsheild line and only when moving so the air is pushing up the leaky fluid thru there. My wife thought it was some slimy creature emerging and that ford was using some new bio-plastic in the dash.
Remove the wiper arms, remove the 2 screw hole covers in the plastic cowling in front of the windshield, remove the 2 screws and remove 3 (I think) clips on the front of the cowl (open hood to access these) and you should be able to remove the plastic cowl.
With that, you should be able to see the wiper mechanism as well as the lower edge of the windshield. Look in the area where you were getting bubbles and see if there is a way to add some sealer. Evidently the windshield seal has broken down in that area.
While you are in there, see if you can find Don Ho......
Awesome response, thanks. And if I do find him, you can be sure I will run the other direction. Always thought Ford to partner with country stars...but they do play Journey on the commercials here which is kind of cool. Thanks for the help.
