hey there got a little problom an maybe some one can help. my truck ran good before but it was setting out for a while like 3 weeks but the motor was coverd . is there a exselarter pump or fuel pump in the carb that may be bad or froze up ? it will start but it runs chuging . when u give it gas it donst do any thing

I had exactly the same problem with my 85 f100 302 efi, the problem worked out to be the fuel pump in the front tank, there is a piece of fuel line about 3-4 inches long that had disintergrated over a period of time, some-how it was still feeding through a liitle bit of gas. ( is submerged in gas all the time) it would start up and run but would be "chugging". When you gassed it , it would slowly build up the revs but would still be "chugging". I don't know if this will help you or not. Good luck with your truck.

thanks nudgey my truck is carberated the guy i got it from put a used carb on it because it set for a while an water leaked in from the rubber above the carb an the carb froze up i got the carb it dosent move at all but mine moves . maybe u think i may have steeped on a line on top of the tank when we were standing on the back to sand the roof may have !
