I think your codes are off by a couple of ranges...
The "V" code is 5200 lbs.
The "X" code is 6000 lbs.
There is also a "W" code at- you guessed it- 5600 lbs! ;-)
The reason you can't always tell what springs you have by FAWR is because the axle itself only has a rating of 5200 lbs. So it, not the springs, becomes the limiting factor once you get to the "V" code.
