I'm looking for a chip for my 2000 250SD w/5.4L
What's everyone like?? And please, no answers like "Frito Lay"
I'm thinking Diablo... anything bad about those??
At the time it was, I went to 35" tires, so it recalibrated my speedo, also I believe it is a progresive type chip, the harder you accelerate, the firmer your shifts are.
I just recently went with diablo, i was nervous at first... you know, messing with "the computer" (yikes). I finally did it, and wish I had soonere... it is great! Changed the whole drivability for the better. I was glad to get rid of the mushy shifts that took 800 rpm's to actually execute. I'd recommend it for sure... see Ken at motorhaven, they treated me VERY well from initial fact finding through purchase. (no, I am not affiliated with them)
Do you have to run the diablo on 91-93 oct? Has anyone used the superchip programmer 1715 on there 5.4? I think it has 3 different settings for different oct.
I've got the SCMT 1715 and love it. It has three different settings and changes the tranny points and firmness. Plus it has a code reader if you ever have any problems.
