New Bilsteins installed!
I just installed my new shocks and life is now good. The handling is much improved, no more porpoising, turns are tight, and the overall feel of the truck is more stable and sure-footed. Amazing how a set of shocks can change everything.
Problem; after driving 300 miles on them, I now hear a popping sound from the front passenger side. Could it be that the shocks were installed incorrectly, or maybe too tight??

Try this...
I had the EXACT same problem after I installed my shocks too. And after spending hours looking up FRONT, I found the problem, it was my REAR shock lower mounts! Seems when you think their tight, they really still have some play in them (poor design?). Try this: stand on your rear bumper and rock (jump up/down) the back of the truck up and down, if you hear it, you found your problem. I also could lay under it and grab the shock and shake it freely. My fix, crank down with a 1/2" drive ratchet, you will also notice the lower bolts wear from this free play movement, you may want to run to your hardware store and get a pair of new ones.
