Help me decide

I've been offered a very good deal on either of two 97 F150 4x4 4.6 auto lwb . The trucks are identical except for the transfer (?) lever. One has a floor lever (which I like) the other has a **** on the dash. (which looks like a potential problem) Of course the one with the **** is cleaner with better tires so any advice would be appreciated.

From what I've read here, reliability on both is about the same. My truck has the lever on the floor, and it's worked fine for me. I think I would go with the truck that was in better condition.

Yep, the only difference is that the one without the stick has an electric motor that switches the transfer case instead of the stick. The differential is operated the same on both. I have the non-stick version and have had no problems with it. It is good to turn it on once a month just to keep everything moving.
I would get the one in better shape too.
