I was eyeing this up myself today. I was thinking about putting the battery down near the starter at the bottom of the fenderwell. I have a 6 cylinder so there is room I think. I would make an aluminum tray to fit the battery i have. Mounting it all needs to be thought about some more. This move would clean up the firewall and lower my C of G for better cornering

I never considered relocating it because the inner fender well makes it set a little too close to moving parts and would seem to place it in the way of easy access to other parts.I thought of lowering it a bit, because it seems to be a little awkward to get at.I like the short cabels,so I dont really want to move it any great distance.I can't lower it much as it will get too much heat from the manifold. It has the lip of the box sticking up so I had to place a board under the battery to keep it from poking a hole in the battery case.I don't know if the orignial style battery is still available.I can order the original style but they are pricey.I'd like something that looks like it belonged there.Perhaps I could order one. It's just something I have to take care of before I drive it very much.
