Question Missing or feels like it?

Hi Ya all, my 97 F-150 4.6 147K did a weird one today. Get in the truck after work and started it up. The thing was shaking like it was missing. Shut it down and restart same thing. Started driving home and it was still there but not any worse after up to temp and though shift changes. After 45 minutes of driving it just went away. No check engine light also. Any clues???

Thanks

I wonder if you had some moisture in one of the spark plug wires and it eventually dried out?
Or maybe some junk floating around in the fuel system which partially plugged an injector?

Raceguy, my wife's truck developed a bad miss yesterday and the cel light started a flashing. Today I pulled the air filter off and found the plastic cone on the filter torn away. No telling how long that's been like that or how much dirt got sucked in. I think I have an injector blocked or dirt in there. I heard that the injectors could be flushed. Is that possible? I dont' think I can rectify the problem. Thanks. The truck has a 5.4L Tritan in it.

shane since you were low on fuel you probably had some moisture built up in the fuel itself and since water will sink to the bottom it probably got some of the water up into your fuel line, its pretty typical this time of the year with the warm and cold fluctuations in temperature to have the tank collect moisture.you should be ok with new fuel i use a little isopropyl this time of the year to dry up the water in the gas.
