4x4 conversion???
Is the frame of a 3/4 ton the same as a 1/2 ton? I have a 88 F150 2wd and might be getting a 88 F250 4x4 also. I plan on building a good truck from the two of them. Basically all I want from the F250 is the 4x4 running gear. I'll use my 5.0 engine and C6 tranny if possible.
I realize this may sound like a 1/2 a_sed way of getting a 4x4 but I like a challenge.

Did Ford make a transfer case to fit a C6 in the 88-91 chassis? Would the 4x4 drivetrain from a 80-86 F150 fit in my 88?...I'm going to do this swap, I would just like a little help figuring out what should work and what won't. I like a challenge, and this one sounds like fun.
