E4OD interchangeability
Hello,
I am considering an engine swap between two 1990 F150's. One has 4wd, 5.8, the other is 2wd and 4.9.
I want to have two running trucks when I am done, and will keep the 4wd with the swapped-in 6-cylinder.
Are there any problems with using a V8 E4OD with a 6 cylinder (I am thinking about the plug). I will be swapping the computer and under hood harness.
Is there any difference between a the two trannies (other than the tailshaft).
