A 6 year old Austrailian Cattle Dog or Red Healer. Way to much energy! I wish I had some cattle like peppy does; that Cleo might get enough exercise to satisfy her.
Two Papillons. Brother and sister. A very happy and intelligent dog..I swear they understand every word you say. They love to torment the 4 cats, but when one gets swatted at, its dads lap to the rescue.
i love german shephards or dogs that look like them personally, great guard dogs and smart as hell. They are good with family too but from my experience they can be bad when they feel somebody is threatening a member of your family, maybe thats a good thing, i dont know. we had a dog that was the same size and shape as a german shephard but he had longish brown hair. he looked more like a wolf then anything. i too have a soft spot for dogs, i probably like them more then people because dogs are innocent creatures where as humans are definately not.

I love dogs now, though for a while I hated them because I almost got killed when I was a 2nd grader by a mad dog German Shepard. Police ended up shooting it.
My only dog was a Malamute and I really loved it. Though I would not recommend them for anyone with kids. Not because they would attack your own kids, they might attack smaller children from outside the house they viewed as a threat on the property. They are in the top ten for people killed by dogs.

Very true. On the other hand I have not heard of anyone taking a child from a house in the middle of the night (example: ELiz. Smart) or a front yard when there was 100-150 pounds of teethed fury standing in the way.
I look at dogs sort like how I look at handguns, except hand guns are cheaper to own ;-D
i agree with the no child missing with a dog in the house ( big dog ) but usually people have them kenneled so they can't do a dam thing but bark WHOOPEE!! i always said i know my dog will die for me. he's always protecting kids and we don't even have any kids.
just my 2 cents.
