Hey all,
I have a 95 Bronco 5.8L. I am in the process of building another engine and came across the oil pan. I know I need a gasket for that, but it seams that they dont make a gasket for the oil pump inside?? Can anyone help me out? Where can I get one?
I assume that if your building a motor, that your installing a New oil pump, it should come with one. If not and you re-built yours, go to any auto parts store and buy some gasket making material and make one. Very easy to do! Don't forget to install the gasket for the pick-up tube!!!!
Look at your oil pump, and you have the inlet. Well the pick-up tube is attached to it, and there is gasket in between the flanges. If you have the old pump the tube is attached. It is the pipe that sucks oil outta the sump, has a screen on the opposite end of tube and the pump at the other!
