One more question

Can I turn (temporaly) a late 70's 351w into a fuel injected engine meaning taking the lower and upper intake and the distributor off of the fuelie and installing it on the older carb'd block and heads, will that work, as I have a late 70's block sitting at home that runs, and I need my truck back on the road.......

Thanks, Tom

p.s. this is the reason for changing the engine......

Yes. might need to swap cams depending on which one is in the earlier block. Good luck............what happened to the piston? Did a valve drop or did it decide to fail?

not too sure what happened to it, I got the truck this way, I knew the engine was gone, but I wasn't thinking this bad.....

the piston skirt let go at the wrist pin...... the upper part of the piston was still intact sitting in the bore

what would be the difference in the cam?????? more agressive for the Fuelie???? or the other way around.......

Oh, by the picture, I thought maybe it exploded into many pieces. Good luck with your swap
