Radio size?
I would like to purchase a new radio for my 2001 Expedition EB, and have been told 2 different sizes by 2 different sources. One said it is a DIN & 1/2, the other said it is a double DIN.

Yes, I have done it before. You will need to do some cutting with a reciprocating saw. Dont worry you wont see the cuts. Remove the radio bezel surrounding the ac vents & all that. remove the stock radio. In the rear of the cavern you will see a metal brace with a nipple sticking out to hold the radio in place. Remove it. The factory radio is slanted at the top and so is the inside of the dash above it. You will need to remove the slanted part of the dash altogether. Dont worry about cutting anything. There is nothing vital right there. Just feel around with your hand to see what you need to avoid. You are almost done, but you are still lacking about 3/8" Once the inside is clean, the top frame (a bar that goes from side to side) needs to be removed. Once you remove it, 2 din will fit, replace the bezel and thats it
