Although I'm still pursuing the s/c for my weak-kneed 5.4,I guess I am also going to need a gear swap.I am currently running 3.73's and it sounds like Monsta and the gang is advising a gear upgrade to say, 4.10's? Anywhoo, If anyone out there is interested in a swap and lives somewhere in TN/AL,let's talk.
If you are going to install a supercharger, why would you want 4.10 gears? I have a 2000 F-250 with the 5.4L gasser and 4.10s. If I put in a supercharger, I would want the higher gears to take advantage of the increase in torque and HP. Heck if I didn't live in northern Indiana, I would take you up on that gear swap. I don't do a ton of pulling and I think the 3.73s would help my highway mileage at least a bit.

He presently has larger than stock tires on it, effectivly raising (lower numerically) his final drive ratio. If he decides not to go with the Supercharger ($2500+ ) the lower (higher numerically) gears will allow his engine to perform best.
Even with a Supercharger, 4.10's wouldn't be bad. MPG is not an issue really...
