I need a little help. I just ordered a Lariat F-350 to replace my XLT lemon and I don’t really know how it comes equipped. Here’s my actual question. Does the Lariat come with wood grain on the door and center console? The brochure isn’t clear and I thought I would have to get the King Ranch for these pieces but I saw a Lariat on the lot with it so now I’m confused.
Also, my 2004 XLT (Oct. ’03 build) has the keyless entry key pad on top of the door handle but the new Lariat on the lot had it to the left of the door handle. Why are they different and what should I expect on my new truck?
The '04 I have and all the ones I saw on the lot have the woodgrain on the doors only. I did see the wood grain on the LE(limited edition) models. My friend just bought an '04 King Ranch and his did not have the wood grain on the console.
Also the keyless entry on the ones I've seen are right above the door handle.
Of course my wife noticed the other day that her '03 expedition didn't have the same steering wheel as some other '03 or '04 models so things do change without us knowing.

So it sounds like the wood panel on the doors is a definate but there's no reasoning behind the key pad. I guess I'll just had to see what shows up when it gets here.
Depends what Job build you get....The date was like Dec 1 03 for begining Job 2. Couple thing differant....
Job 2 = no underhood heat blanket, no glove box light, but it does have the recessed keypad on the door instead of the "stick on block of Job 1. The "LE" lariet is the only one that comes with the wood grain console...and you can't buy that piece seperate either.....you have to buy the whole console cover for like $90 bucks.
I have a 2004 F-250 Lariat, The wood grain only comes on the doors. But there are alot of companies that make OEM match kits that cover the dash and power window parts of the door handles.
I have a question for anyone out there. On my 2004 F-250 Lariat, I have the 6.8L V-10 with 4x4. I'm currently getting just over 11 mpg. Does any one know was that I can increase this?

Why would they eliminate the heat blanket? I wonder if the engine is louder w/o the insulation of the blanket?
Just went throught the heat blanket issue with my dealer. Answer from engineering is that it was retaining to much heat....I dont know if I buy that. Why did the eliminate the glove light?....using to much power?....comes down to dollers and cents if you ask me.
alfie623- You may want to retain your hitch...I'm sure it's a 15k and they all come in with a 12k now....have them swap it out. I just did had them do it to mine....brand new truck today!
