low oil pressure

low oil pressure

im looking to purchace a 67 ford w/352 .but i was concerned about the oil pressure . idling it was about 15 to 18 psi . driving range was about 35 psi ..is this too low or about normal for this engine

Sounds low but you can check with the 352 engine forum for more info.

That's awesome oil pressure for an FE! Do a search for low oil pressure and you'll find alot of great stories about FE's performing forever with hardly any oil pressure. My old 66 merc 390 hardly needed oil, let alone actual oil pressure to survive the 20K miles or so of me rodding the hell out of it.
