Replace your ground and positive wires. If they are internally corroded (and they probably will be they've never been replaced) and when they get hot, it increases their resistance and keeps your truck from starting.

nope, that didn't work, it'll start fine, then i drive it for 25 min. shut it off, then try to refire, it turns slowly, and barely starts, if it starts at all.

Battery isn't strong enough for the new starter is why. Get a higher amp battery such as a 650 starting cap. Old starter did fine cause of resistance, now that you replaced the starter, it requires more starting power after engine has come to operating temp. Keep the shields and replace the cables if you haven't already....but, get a better battery.

If you've replace the wires and starter, I would check the timing. Normally, batteries won't start when they are cold, and when you have problems when the motor it hot, it is because of the connection.

did you replace the wires? I think you said you did, but I am not sure.. Did you replace both the positive and ground? (some motors have 2 ground wires..)

i replaced all 4 cables, pos. starter, batt. to ground, and engine to ground. Have a optima battery, it's 675 cca i think, i believe the compression is up a little, but not much, what is the normal timing set at?
