shutter in od 96 exp
read other posts about it being torque converter is it safe just to have it replaced and do nothing else . shifts fine all times ,just does that shutter at high speed ? thanks

First thing I would do is change the trany fluid and add 2 bottles of Lube Gard. It almost completely cured the shudder in my F-150. Lube Gard is available at NAPA and probably other places as well but NAPA is the only place I have seen it. Cost about $8.00 a bottle and seems to be good stuff. I do not think it is snake oil.
