This pas weekend I was 300 miles from home with my 2000 F-150
5.4 litre and it became stuck in park, I could not get it to go into gear, I played around with the lever and finally after about 10 minutes I got it into rev. and drive, it never happened again?
anybody have any ideas, or was it me.
Check the connection at the brake light switch, located on the brake pedal under the dash.Mine was broke and did the same thing.I had to re-splice the wires with new connections.

If it happens again and it seems like the interlock solenoid isnt working you can turn the key to the off but not locked position, move the shifter to neutral and then start the engine and go from there.
