we i have a351w out of a 89van transplanted in my 79f150 . now when i go to ajust the timing with a light do i set the timing at the pointer ... or is it set flashing the light threw the hole in the pointer .. on the timing cover this engine has two places i mean two pointers .. the reg one or threw the hole ..which one do i use ...

 

Set it with the normal pointer, also remember to disconnect the spout connecter to set base timing. Good luck.
