Need new gas guage sending unit float

Does anyone know where I can buy a new float for the gas guage sending unit in the gas tank. Mine has a hole in it and sits on the bottom of the tank all the time. All the parts places want to sell me the entire sending unit.

Its a dealer only item. I replaced mine, but the sender should have been replaced to. It likes to read at full and under a 1/4 tank.
