Replacing dome light bulbs

One of my interior dome lights has burnt out and I want to replace it, but for the life of me I can't get that stupid plastic cover off. The Haynes manual says to squeeze the retaining clips but I don't see any clips. I tried squeezing and pulling the thing from numerous angles and did nothing but short out the other bulb. Now to fix that I still need to take the cover off. Any insight?

There are plastic tab (two in the front and to on the back) that hold the clear plastic lense on. If you are not careful you can break the tabs. Use a very small flat screwdriver blade and slide it between the clear plastic lense and the base plastic and slide it back and forth until you local the tabs. Then pry gently at the tabs until you can get the tabs to clear. If you get both tabs on the front side clear the lense will come right off.
